  1. Pretty similar build to my 855. Sweet frame for anyone looking for a nice old bike.

  2. looks like he's going to get a good price for it to.

The guy is dreaming at $600, but it looks in good nick. If it were cheaper I'd seriously consider this one, and its local(ish)

  4. I'll say he's dreaming - must say I'm not a huge fan of those particular proflexes. Not as easy on the eye as your classic 855/856 etc.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  5. I hate them to be honest, but it is a model you don't see a lot of.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  6. Looks like a cheaper K-Mart job... Agree with thepeasant, the 855/856's were much nicer looking...

  7. Ohhhhhhhh, 757 for sale.

    Ebay 757 link

Looks to be a bit of a bargain if it stays around the current price.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  8. Bugger, missed it. Final price of $941US. I think it was a large anyway.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  9. Yeah it was a large - probably more my size than yours. RZeasonably hefty price in the end for a 10 yr old carbon bike but it did look in pretty good nick.

  10. I should sue this site for slander

  11. 2 more proflex's on ebay. one looks pretty good for $250, the other is a bit older and in worse condition for about the same.

  12. Having a new drinking deck constructed at home at the moment, so no more bike purchases for me until I know for sure the construction budget doesn't blow out.

Having a big think about getting disc brake tabs installed on the swingarm of one of the frames I have though.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  13. I'm liking the new All Mountain offering from proflex.

Shame we will probably never see them over here.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  14. Start importing them sammyd

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  15. If I had spare cash lying around that I was happy to loose, maybe I would.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  16. I'm sure you do.

    Posted 1 year ago # | | | | |
  17. And here I was thinking the brand was dead!

There was one of these (frame only) on ebay during the week in Pommyland.

They seem to remind me of another bike but I can't quite place it - the FELTs maybe??

  18. Who cares, they say proflex. The name was purchased by K2, then Iron Horse who sold it to some Spanish guys who seem to making a decent run of it. I would just like to see some single pivot bikes in there as well.

But lets step back in time....

Footage of proflex crushing everyone. I'd like to know more about the proflex hardtail in there as well.

  19. Wonder what the chances are of picking this up for a few $$$$?

I've just purchased a bolt on brake tab adapter for one of my older bikes, cost me $55 delivered through ebay, a cheap way to convert without the need to weld/repaint.

  21. Does it work alright? Hammerhead used to make them specifically for the proflex, but they are long since gone.

    Posted 12 months ago # | | | | |
  22. Yet to use it anywhere other than the driveway, cable I had is a little bit on the short side, another great excuse to go visit the LBS

  23. Was the one you got the A2Z Rear Disc Brake Frame Adaptor?? Just found a few of them on eBay.

    Posted 12 months ago # | | | | |
  24. Yes, that is the one. Got mine there too.

    Posted 11 months ago # | | | | |
  25. Let me know how it goes. If its half way decent I will grab one as well. I'd prefer that to welding the swingarm, and its cheaper.

  26. Found a small crack in my 955 on the weekend, wonder if this could be my saviour.....
